Cruise ships, offshore ships and cargo ships moored on the horizon. An iconic image for the maritime sector that was ravaged by waves of corona this year.
Nevertheless, work at MARIN continued. We kept in touch with each other. We helped our customers, we came up with new ideas. We made models and performed tests. We were looking for new digital ways to keep in touch with each other and the maritime world. We opened new test facilities, started ground-breaking JIPs and developed a new simulator centre. We were working together on the future of the maritime sector and MARIN. We showed resilience.
Management gurus always refer to ‘the dot on the horizon’ as a perspective for the future. Somehow that is short-sighted, because you can just see the horizon. And the current dots on the horizon can actually discourage you. That is why MARIN invites you to look beyond the horizon. Beyond that horizon are oceans of possibilities. Better Ships, Blue Oceans.
MARIN wishes you happy holidays and hopes to see and speak to you in person again soon!
During the holidays MARIN offices are closed from Friday December 25, 2020 until Friday January 1, 2021.
